If music had its own postal system, Jeff Lantz’s passport would be stamped in every known genre and at least three undiscovered ones. A pianist, composer, performing artist, collaborator, and coach, he found his calling at the age of eight – long before most kids can reliably tie their shoes, let alone choose a destiny – and has since lived the kind of road-worn, star-studded, jazz-dusted life touring musicians trade stories about at 2 a.m. He’s played everything from classical halls with perfect acoustics to jazz clubs where the air hums, rock stages roaring with eighty thousand fans, and hole-in-the-wall venues so small you could order a drink and thank the bartender without leaving your bench, sharing stages with household names, beloved local pros, and the occasional musician who materializes mid-song, as they somehow always do around him. Through it all, Jeff remains joyfully devoted to music, recording, teaching, and performing with the same enthusiasm he had when he first fell in love with the piano, a spirit echoed in his latest album, It’s Okay to Be Happy, a melodic reminder that joy deserves volume. Now he brings that lifetime of stories, songs, and serendipity to an intimate concert at The Z Club – a rare chance to hear a master up close, where every note feels personal and every tale lands like a secret shared.
